Eating Ketogenically With Optimal Nutrition

I recently spoke at the 2nd Annual Conference on Nutrition Therapies and Metabolic Ketosis in Tampa, Florida to a mixed audience of medical professionals, scientists and public attendees.

When following a ketogenic diet, which is carb-restricted and high in fat, it's important to choose foods with optimal nutrient content. I focus on providing a balance of mono and saturated fats with less emphasis on poly-unsaturated (which are pro-inflammatory). In addition, I discuss the gut microbiome and its critical role in supporting a healthy ketogenic diet.
